     Sonoma State University (California) has invited Jacksonville State University Eminent Scholar Glen Browder for a leading presentation in its Fall 2004 Arts and Lectures Program.

     Dr. Browder will speak on “The Future of American Democracy” as the keynote discussion of the university’s program on “It Matters: Engage. Participate. Vote.”  The program also includes a series of weekly discussions, art exhibits, multimedia displays, and various events organized by students. 

     Browder’s  presentation, scheduled for September 23, 2004, is an elaboration of his unconventional thesis about the Great Experiment of American democracy, which has been featured in numerous forums throughout the country.
