Since leaving the United States Congress in 1997, Glen Browder has written, lectured, and consulted extensively as Eminent Scholar in American Democracy at Jacksonville State University in Alabama  (1999-2006), as Distinguished Visiting Professor of National Security Affairs at Naval Postgraduate School in California (1997-2006), and on various other assignments.  He now serves as Professor Emeritus in American Democracy and Political Science at Jacksonville State University.
