Two papers dealing with the public service career of Jacksonville State University's Glen Browder were presented at the annual conference of the Alabama Political Science Association April 28-29 at the University of Alabama.

Geni Certain, Consolidated Publishing Co. New Media Director and a JSU graduate student, is writing her History Master's thesis on Browder's career; and she presented two papers on separate panels in Tuscaloosa: "Alabama's Blue Dogs and the FY 1996 Budget Crisis" on April 28 and "The Last Battle of Fort McClellan" on April 29.

Certain previously had presented a Browder paper at last year's conference on the Jacksonville campus: "Glen Browder and Campaign Finance Disclosure in Alabama: An Examination of the Reform Process Through Media Reports, Historical Documents, and Personal Interviews."
